The need to grow the logistics capacity quickly can suddenly emerge in a fast-moving business environment. During a time when the demand for our products far outstripped the capabilities of our current logistics systems, I had to deal with this kind of challenge. For this purpose, we used a very complex approach. To begin with, we improved the existing routes and the transportation schedule through timing as much efficiency. At the same time, we work very closely with major suppliers to optimize procurement and prevent any disruptions in the raw material supply. We also worked with the third-party logistics providers to temporarily increase our transportations vehicle fleet. This enabled us to quickly respond to the growing demand without any compromising on the service quality. On the inside we have developed technological solutions such as real-time tracking and also automated inventory management to help increase visibility and coordination along the full supply chain. This holistic approach not only enabled the quick scaling of logistics capability but also led to the evolution towards a more flexible and dynamic supply chain system in the long term.
