I'm happy to participate--I'm the owner of Raindrop Roofing NW in Boring, Oregon, and I currently serve as Secretary for both the Oregon Chapter of National Women in Roofing and the Associated Roofing Contractors of Oregon and Southwest Washington. One thing I wish more people understood is that following in my dad's footsteps wasn't my original plan, but it became something I'm deeply proud of. The stereotype that "all roofers are out to get you" drives me crazy because I see honest contractors every day who genuinely care about protecting families' homes. Breaking that myth through quality work and transparency is something I focus on with every project. The perfectionist in me shows up from the first call to the final shingle--getting every detail right matters because we're protecting what matters most to people. I also get to give back through charity roofing projects with National Women in Roofing each year and supporting Fort Kennedy, a day center for homeless veterans, through the ARC. Feel free to send over your questions--I'd be glad to share more insights for your article.
