One of the top road trip experiences in Europe is a motorcycle tour of the stunning Italian Alps. This road trip offers stunning views of the mountains, winding roads and plenty of places to stop and explore along the way. The difficulty of the ride depends on the route chosen and the riders skill level. The most popular route and the one I took is to start in Turin and to work your way through the Aosta Valley and up to Courmayeur before heading back down to Turin. This route takes around 5 hours and is full of twists and turns. Riders with experience can take on some of the more challenging terrain and explore the many off-road trails available. From my experience there are plenty of tips to help make your experience the most enjoyable. Firstly, plan your route ahead of time and be sure to factor in any rest stops. Secondly, make sure you wear the appropriate safety gear like a helmet, gloves and jacket. Lastly, take plenty of pictures and enjoy the spectacular views!
There is no doubt that you should ride along Ireland's Wild Atlantic Way. This route, which runs along the west coast of Ireland for 2,500 kilometers, offers spectacular views of the ocean. Horseback riders may take in the scenery of charming villages, towering cliffs, and ancient fortresses throughout their journey. Dublin, Galway, and Cork are three of the most well-known cities in all of Ireland, and they are all on the route. Kinsale, a little fishing village in the island's north, is where things get going. This is a great place to begin your ride if you want to get a sense for the coast's beauty and rich history. From there, the path continues down the coast, offering stunning views of the sea, the rocky beach, and the many obscure villages along the way. If you want to have fun on your motorcycle road trip, you need prepare for it in advance. Inspect the forecast, fill up the petrol tank, and examine a topographical map in great detail before you head off.
A motorcycle road trip through Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria, and Turkey is the most picturesque I have ever done in my life! All four countries are very different, very hospitable, and very mountainous. I started my journey from Budapest and rambled across the Carpathians, through Romania's Transylvanian Alps, and then into Bulgaria. Everywhere I went, I was met with incredible scenery, professional motorcycle roads, and friendly locals. The Turkish stage starts in my favorite city in the world - Istanbul - and goes along the Black See's coast towards an incredible Cappadocia. The journey is challenging but not overly difficult. I was able to handle it with professional riding skills and an appropriate level of preparation.
France is home to some of the most breathtaking and exciting motorcycle road trips in Europe. During my travels, I experienced France's winding roads with awe-inspiring hairpin turns that are a true thrill seeker’s paradise. From Monaco to Avignon, it took me several days on the bike to complete this dreamy road trip. Although there was no shortage of attractions and must-see destinations along the way, I found pure joy in simply taking in France’s natural beauty with each passing mile. To make the most out of this adventure, I highly recommend packing light, wearing proper gear, and allocating enough time to explore each town you pass through!
