As the founder of a tech company, my advice to anyone in 2023 is to be competitive. The spirit of competition inspires one to better themselves. There is a shortage of talent in the workspace today. Layoffs are also increasing at a rapid rate. In such a scenario, it becomes important for an individual to be aware of the tough competition. It is necessary to know which skills are in high demand. Learning new and relevant skill sets is important for progressing in your career.
When looking for a new career, it's important that you search for one that offers flexibility. One thing we all learned from the pandemic is that employees can be just as - if not more so - productive when working from home. With work/life balance often a struggle, true flexibility in your role can offer independence that will prove to be far more important than a slightly larger salary.
