Llimited scalability can be a significant pain point when using marketing technology tools. Limited scalability can be a problem for businesses that are growing rapidly or have a high volume of data. When a marketing technology tool reaches its scalability limit, it can cause several issues such as: Slow performance - The tool may become slow or unresponsive, making it difficult for users to access or process data. Data loss - In some cases, data can be lost if the tool is unable to handle the volume of data being input. Limited insights - A tool that is not scalable may not be able to process all of the data it is collecting, leading to limited insights and poor decision-making. Additional costs - Once a tool reaches its scalability limit, businesses may need to invest in additional tools or upgrades to handle the increased workload, which can be costly. This is why it's important to keep scalability in mind when selecting a marketing technology tool.
The biggest martech pain point I experienced was a shortage of talent. Having comfort with (or competency in) data analysis, experience dealing with platforms of many kinds (CDPs, CRMs, DMPs, etc.), inventiveness, and flexibility were all necessary management talents for our complicated and technology marketing environment. The hardest part was finding and hiring martech personnel, with martech integrations falling in the middle. The talent issue cannot be solved quickly. Martech is continuously changing, but it's also quite new. Businesses had a challenge in the early days of the internet when there was a high demand for expertise but a shortage of professionals to fill it. These necessary abilities are data analysis, data visualization, and the motivation to link crucial information to a company's objectives and KPIs. The ability to be creative in marketing is still in high demand and challenging to automate
One of the biggest pains is that some of these tools are not user-friendly and/or take a lot of time to learn how to use them. There are a lot of tools out there, and you have to spend time thinking about which ones would be the best fit for your business. This means doing your research and finding tools that will make your life easier. However, some tools are just too complicated and require too much time and effort to learn how to use them. This can be frustrating for marketers who just want to get things done.
When software, tools, and various technologies help in achieving marketing goals, it is called Martech. But technologies are not always helpful to every business. I used an AI content writing tool in the hope that it will provide me with a bunch of original writing pieces. But it turns out to be the biggest pain for me. I had to remove plagiarized content from the write-ups, so instead of cutting time, the tool increased the time to write. The name of the tool is Jasper. The main purpose of getting a subscription to the tool is to get enough articles and blogs for my website in a short time. Unfortunately, it proved me wrong and gave me a result I didn’t accept ever. Since It was paid subscription, I had to use the tool till the end of the subscription. Although, it can write content fast and generate enough articles as per need, getting unique content from the tool is a challenging task.
