As the film shows though, success comes with legal and personal complications since his former co-founder and two brothers try to sue him.

I can’t even name another movie about social media because the Aaron Sorkin-David Fincher heavyweight film casts every other movie about the subject in its huge shadow. Not only does the dialogue sizzle throughout the movie, but you feel like you’re getting an inside glimpse into something (i.e., Facebook) that altered the world and how we communicate in it. The characters in the movie were so close-knit. They all lived and socialized together in a small space – and they all contributed in some way to creating a social media platform, or a social network, that connected people from all over the world. And, ironically, Facebook has made us more isolated from each other than ever before. It’s a fascinating film – and quoting directly from the deposition transcripts gave the movie an extra layer of authenticity that you don’t often see from other movies that are based on a true story.
