However, the lively setting that Las Vegas offers brings along its own troubles and one particular problem that I faced was dealing sufficiently with the positive stimuli of overindulgence. The city is known for its opulence, which sometimes makes the true nature of an event lost in all its glamour. To deal with this issue, I focused on one balance principle. Rather than concealing the grandeur of Vegas, I sought to infuse each and every event with a sense of purpose and also intimacy. I aimed to build experiences based on the central themes of the event and also client’s vision, which in turn helped me deliver moments that went beyond what people would typically expect from a city as fancy as Dubai. However, in a place where more is frequently thought to be better I found that selective restraint and meaningful curation could enhance an event; assuring the individual takes away something from it. It’s about designing an encounter that goes beyond wealth, but also gains a lot of meaning and authenticity.
