Never stop learning. I always encourage new RT's to explore all the field has to offer. When I was new to the field, I never turned down an opportunity to train in different units. Take the jump and go to the NICU, PFT lab, pulmonary rehab, ER, bronchoscopy, or wherever the need is. Continuing to grow in the field will make you an asset to any respiratory therapy department and take you on an incredible journey.
