The quote that I keep in mind is not to motivate me to work; it's a quote that helps me, as a business leader, to manage the people I work with. “Treat a man as he is, and he will remain as he is. Treat a man as he could be, and he will become what he should be.” – Johann Wolfgang von Goethe This quote is a reminder to treat my team in a motivating and respectful way. If I treat them like achievers, they are more likely to succeed and achieve their work goals and maintain or even increase productivity.
“Nothing will work unless you do.” – Maya Angelou. Nothing will work unless you take action. Dreams, thoughts, and visions alone are insufficient to produce something. Bringing an idea to life necessitates movement, effort, and action. We can all recall a time when making that phone call, getting out of bed for a run, or shifting from thought to being was difficult. Some of us are prone to deeply considering the concept's perspectives and positions. We are intellectual adventurers. Some are meant to be enjoyed quietly, which transforms the experience into something wondrous, profound, and entirely appropriate. Because action is scary, it's sometimes easier, more comfortable, and even luxurious to explore and spin through all the derivations of an idea and the perspectives. Action implies true accountability. It entails bringing together material, people, and time, which is difficult work.

I have literally benefitted from the notion that one word that is infused with meaning, images, and feelings can impact my way forward. That one word, if it's the right word, can literally reset me. I use this technique all the time with my coaching clients. Sometimes it's a word. Sometimes it's a phrase. I've written articles and book chapters about how transformative a "mantra" can be. The one that started my own personal journey was CHANGE. As in change what you can. As in "being granted the serenity to accept what you cannot change, the courage to change what you can and the wisdom to know the difference" (thank you serenity prayer). As in, "if you can't change it, change your attitude" (thank you Maya Angelou). As in "yesterday I was clever and wanted today the world. Today I am wise so I am changing myself" (Thank you Rumi). Change is scary as heck and change is growth (thank you me).
"There are no shortcuts to success" is a quote that sticks to me. It reminds me that even when things get hard that only means I'm on the right track. Nothing worth having comes easy, so making sure to take the correct path is vital in having true success. Skipping steps may help you get somewhere quicker, but will lack the foundation and knowledge needed to truly do good at whatever it is you are putting your mind too.
Thomas Edison said, "Genius is 1% inspiration and 99% perspiration.” I think this quote is a good reminder that even the most creative and brilliant ideas take a lot of hard work to see them through to completion. It's easy to become discouraged when things don't go as planned, but it's important to stay focused and not give up.
This is one of the quotes that got to me on a day when I was on the verge of quitting. Managing multiple events, and coordinating with the team, customers, and business partners can get so hectic. Sometimes, amidst all of this, it is easy to lose focus on your goal and motivation. I feel this quote captures my predicament pretty aptly. It's not like running away becomes an option once an event is up and running. The only way I can move ahead is to see its end goal by working through it. It also reminds me of why I started the business when I focus on getting the result. Each interaction with an employee, and the customer becomes meaningful. It provides me with a new purpose when I examine the path I go through to finish a job. I always keep this reminder on me to ground me and make me realize this is something I chose and built to pursue, and giving up is not an option now.
Mahatma Gandhi once said this and it has always been in my mind from the start that “The future depends on what you do Today”. There are so many things that are made worthy in the present time. Still, many have discovered to their surprise that many of the things are meaningless d empty objectives. The main lesson I have learned and that keep same motivated is today you will be procrastinated. Do not procrastinate time is very costly you might think you still have many days to start and, in few years, from the start you will be successful. But it is better to always start whenever you get an opportunity rises. The early you start, the better you have for success.
“There is no better source of resolution and grit in the face of difficulties than the reminder that what you do is important. That your efforts, your mission, your work matters. Draw on that resource to keep yourself moving forward and find channels to broadcast and share it with your team, so they know how valuable and appreciated their work is too.” — Steve Johns
“I shall pass this way but once; any good that I can do or any kindness I can show to any human being; let me do it now. Let me not defer nor neglect it, for I shall not pass this way again.” Etienne de Grellet QUAKER MISSIONARY In today's fast-paced work environments, it's easy to get caught up in the hustle and bustle of work and forget about being kind. Kindness is a key factor in maintaining a positive outlook at work. When you're kind to others, it not only makes them feel good, but it also helps you feel good too. And when you have hope in your team, it gives you the strength to keep going, even when things are tough. So next time you're feeling stressed out at work, remember to be kind to your colleagues and yourself, and stay hopeful for a better tomorrow. It'll make all the difference in your attitude–and your productivity.
A quote from Dale Carnegie is a very simple and easy quote but has a very deep meaning in it. The Quote says “People rarely succeed if they have fun in what they are doing”. When you understand the deep meaning of this quote you might know that we as humans are easily adaptable to failures and negativities. When one or a few things in our life has failed we always keep thinking about the failure part such that we don’t usually take time to believe in ourselves that if we try the same next time we might succeed. Success only comes to the people who desperately want success and only success no matter how many times they fail in the journey of it. This quote helps me keep motivated to look for success and have fun even at times of failure to believe in myself and the process.
"The only way to do great work is to love what you do." -Steve Jobs I believe this quote to be true for a few reasons. One, if you don't enjoy your work, it will show in the quality of your output. Two, if you're not passionate about what you're doing, it will be very difficult to find the motivation to keep going when times get tough. And three, if you don't love your work, you'll never truly be satisfied with your career or your life. So, whatever it is that you do, make sure that you love it! Otherwise, it's just not worth it.
“Start where you are. Use what you have. Do what you can.” – Arthur Ashe. My favorite quotation ever since high school is this one. We all experience certain conditions in life, and frequently, those circumstances don't seem fair to us. I keep this quotation in mind whenever I'm lacking in motivation and begin working with whatever is in my hand, regardless of how I'm feeling or what's going through my mind.
“Never stop being a learner.” This motto helped to shape me as a person in every part of my life. No matter what job position you are holding at the time or where you are in your life, you can only be more successful if you adapt the mindset that there will always be something more to learn, to improve, or to adapt. This motto keeps you on your feet at all times, ready to align yourself in any position, as you learn better practices and produce better and better results. Stagnancy is the most detrimental state for a business person especially, but training yourself to always be ready for the next challenge and always be willing to tackle new challenges will keep on an up and up trajectory, improving your circumstance, whatever it may be.
Gertrude Stein's famous quote "There is no there, there." is one I remind myself (and my clients) of often. To me, it is a reminder to slow down, be grateful for today and most importantly remember that there is no external point of arrival that will ultimately results in greater happiness. It's easy to get caught up in the "race to nowhere" as a high performing growth minded professional only to be disappointed when you get that promotion, or that pay raise, or start that business only to realize you are no more satisfied. Satisfaction is an inside job and starts with valuing where you've been in your life and where you are today. Having goals to work toward are a part of the equation of living a wholehearted life, but we must not be mistaken that when we reach our goal, we'll finally be able to relax and enjoy life.
"Success doesn't come from what you do occasionally, it comes from what you do consistently." As a blogger and online entrepreneur, it is becoming more and more challenging to earn a top spot. This can be very discouraging at times. There have been countless times when I thought about giving up and doing something else because I didn't think I was good enough. I understand that giving up is not an option if I want my dreams of success to become a reality. Unlike what is commonly promised, there is no easy path to success and you have to work hard for it every day. I have this quote written at the top of my notebook with other quotes and affirmations to keep me motivated. It always manages to pick me back up and get me to keep building my dream business when I lose motivation every now and then.
"I am powerful" is a simple but positive affirmation at work. This is my favorite quote for any stage of my professional life, whether it's in the interview stage or a random Tuesday before a presentation. It settles nerves before going into meetings or helps you feel more confident. It inspires me to work hard and feel my best regardless of the task.
“Intelligence is the ability to adapt to change.” That’s a famous quote commonly attributed to Stephen Hawking, who reportedly said it during his Oxford University graduation speech. Regardless of whether the quote actually came from Hawking, it’s a piece of wisdom that certainly rings true – especially during an age in which change keeps coming in waves. Americans are transitioning away from, or have already transitioned away from, traditional media, gas vehicles, landline phones, classroom learning, late-night television, etc. Every major business decision needs to be made with the thought, “Will this be obsolete in five years?” If you want to be an intelligent business person, you must adapt to change in the marketplace. If you want to be a brilliant, state-of-the-art business person, you will need to anticipate change in the marketplace.
"Knowing what must be done does away with fear." - Rosa Parks If you are familiar with VUCA modeling or business situation quadrant 4 scenarios, the basics are the same. There are situations where we are aware and understand what needs to be done, situations where we understand the problem but not what to do, times where we are aware of what we must do but don't fully understand the situation, and quadrant 4 times where we don't understand the situation and we don't know what to do. Through my experiences of leading business leadership development courses, the fear of quadrant 4 unknowns does exist. Not knowing what is happening or how to fix it can be a daunting place to be. In business, leaders often find themselves here. Luckily there are processes we can follow to identify the situation, then also the answer. This quote reminds me that when we do not know the answer, there is a model/ tool we can follow to find the answer, replacing quadrant 4 fear with a practical next step.
These words by Chris Grosser frequently run through my head. Turning my passion for coin collecting into a profitable business meant creating lots of opportunities. Rarely do things happen by luck or circumstance. Instead, I have to constantly look for new ways to grow my business and interact with customers. Sometimes, this means trying things in multiple ways to understand what works. It also means thinking outside of the box as sometimes opportunities are not obvious. Remembering this quote reminds me to do just this.
One saying that spurs me on to work is, "Don't be afraid to give your best to what seemingly are small jobs. Every time you conquer one, it makes you that much stronger. If you do the little jobs well, the big ones will tend to take care of themselves" from William Patten. This quote motivates me despite the fact that I have expressed my displeasure at being given the task and, ultimately, succeeding in completing it. I was just about to graduate when I first read William Peten's quote, and it immediately motivated me to act.
