I have found that having a morning routine helps me start my day on the right foot. Some things I like to include in my morning are: -Waking up at the same time -Doing some form of exercise or stretching -Meditating or practicing mindfulness -Eating a healthy breakfast Then the real winner, reviewing my schedule or to-do list for the day. By establishing a consistent morning routine, you can help to reduce stress and increase productivity throughout the day. Having a routine can help to establish a sense of structure and control, which can be especially beneficial when working from home or in a remote environment.
Push yourself in a workout for 10 minutes. The lack of motivation stems from the activity and how long it takes to complete. Make this a small goal. Do any workout for at least 10 minutes, and you've accomplished your goal for the day. Within that time, you may decide to continue, or end the workout, which is totally okay as well. You''ll quickly find the motivation to power through each day knowing it's such a short period of time.
Today, a lot of work is done remotely or at least in an individual capacity, which can really hamper productivity. One trick I've seen some success in is "body doubling"--or having a stranger see you work. The resource for this is Focusmate, an online platform that randomly connects you over webcam to a total stranger for just under an hour, where you both just are able to observe each other while getting your work done. Not only does this give you a small feeling of being in a workplace, but also knowing someone's able to see you makes it less likely that you'll put down your work to do something unimportant.
One thing I do to set my day up for success is taking a few moments for deep breathing or relaxation exercises. Starting the day with a sense of calm and centeredness helps me clear my mind, reduce stress, and approach the day with a positive mindset. I find a quiet and comfortable space, close my eyes, and focus on taking slow, deep breaths. I consciously release any tension or worries, allowing myself to fully relax. This practice helps me let go of any lingering negativity from the previous day and begin the new day with a fresh perspective. It allows me to be more present, focused, and ready to tackle the tasks and challenges ahead. Taking these moments of self-care and intentional breathing sets a positive tone for the day and increases my overall sense of well-being, ultimately contributing to a more successful and productive day.
One powerful habit I practice to set my day up for success is staying well-informed about the latest happenings across various sectors & industries. I dedicate approximately 30 minutes each day to immerse in current affairs, spanning politics, economy, social issues, environmental matters & more. This intentional effort allows me to broaden my perspective, stay ahead of trends & make informed decisions in both personal & professional realms. Equally significant is the practice of engaging in meaningful self-reflection & introspection. Each morning, I engage in a deep conversation with myself, taking the time to evaluate my goals, aspirations, & short-term plans. This self-dialogue serves as a powerful tool for recalibration, enabling me to align my actions with my purpose & make intentional choices throughout the day. It is through these intentional practices that I not only stay informed & focused but also cultivate a mindset of continuous learning & personal development.
Get a good night of sleep. Having a productive, successful day actually begins with the night before. If you're exhausted, you're less likely to be sharp at the office and more likely to get distracted or ill. By getting proper rest each night, you put yourself in the best possible position to thrive in the workplace.
I make myself a latte. I have five children and it's easy to get caught up in the craziness of everyone getting ready for the day. But I make a latte in the chaos and then I sneak outside on the porch and drink it in peace while I breathe fresh air. It makes all the difference when I give myself a moment to shut out the noise and focus on enjoying the luxury of my coffee.
I start my day with some quiet time. While that varies by the day and the commitments on my calendar, it always involves a cup of coffee. Some days I start my day with exercise; other times, meditation or catch up on the news. I purposely am the first one up in the morning in my house. Allowing myself some time first lets me have a clear mind for a creative and productive day.
I strive to feel a sense of accomplish as early in the day as possible. After I prepare for the day, I do at least one chore before it's time to leave for school/work. My kids are at the age where I don't have to get them ready for school. This gives me more free time in the morning to unload the dishwasher, start laundry, or tidy up the kitchen before it's time to leave. These very small things give me a sense of relief knowing things at home are getting done. I don't have to spend time stressing about them all day when I'm trying to work (I work from home and seeing piles of chores can be distracting). Plus, I feel better knowing I've used my small pockets of free time wisely.
Starting your day with a warm cup of lemon water can do wonders for your overall health and set you up for a successful day. The citric acid in lemon helps to boost your metabolism and digestive system, aiding in digestion and detoxification. It also offers a good dose of vitamin C, promotes hydration, freshens your breath, and supports your immune system. Drinking lemon water in the morning can help to improve your skin, reduce inflammation, and alkalize your body. So, try swapping your regular cup of coffee with warm lemon water each morning, and feel the difference in your well-being and productivity throughout the day.
One thing I do to set my day up for success is to establish a morning routine. As soon as I wake up, I take a few moments to set clear goals and intentions for the day ahead. This helps me stay focused and prioritize my tasks effectively. Next, I incorporate mindfulness or meditation into my routine. By taking a few minutes to center myself and cultivate a sense of calm, I am better equipped to handle any challenges that may arise throughout the day. This practice also helps me maintain a positive mindset and reduces stress. Physical activity is another crucial component of my morning routine. Whether it's a quick workout, yoga session, or a simple stretch, moving my body energizes me and enhances my overall well-being. I find that exercise boosts my productivity, improves my mood, and sets a positive tone for the rest of the day. Finally, I take some time to plan and organize my schedule. I review my to-do list, prioritize tasks, and allocate time blocks for different activities.

Setting up a clear morning routine is the key to a successful day. Start by waking up at the same time every day, ideally early. Drink a glass of water and do some stretching or light exercise to get your blood flowing. Spend a few minutes meditating to clear your mind, then plan out your day while enjoying a nutritious breakfast. Resist the urge to check email or social media first thing in the morning, as this can cause unnecessary stress and distractions. Following a consistent routine each morning will help increase productivity and set the tone for the rest of your day.
As a serial entrepreneur, I have found that setting myself up for success each day is crucial to achieving my goals and staying productive. One thing I do every morning is to start my day by taking some time for myself before jumping into work. This means waking up early enough to have time for a morning routine and taking care of myself before diving into emails and meetings. My morning routine usually involves some form of exercise, whether it's a run, yoga, or a quick workout at home. I find that getting my body moving and releasing endorphins helps me start the day on a positive note and gives me the energy and focus I need to tackle my to-do list. I also make sure to eat a healthy breakfast and drink plenty of water to fuel my body and brain for the day ahead.
My days are often filled with non-stop meetings, emails, and decision-making. To set myself up for success, I start every morning with a quick meditation session. This helps me clear my mind, focus on what's important for the day, and approach each task with a calm and clear perspective. By setting aside just a few minutes every morning to breathe deeply and center my thoughts, I find that I am better equipped to handle the challenges that come my way throughout the day. A successful entrepreneur constantly asks what inspires them in the morning. It could be what inspired them to start their company or what motivates them to keep it going. Maybe their business model is a solution to a problem in the industry, or maybe they found an easier, more effective product that doesn't exist. They could find inspiration in their daily activities, which could be used as a great marketing tool as the business develops. Whatever it is, this is a question entrepreneurs must consistently ask in every stage of the company's growth.
One thing I do to set my day up for success is to plan the night before. I take a few minutes before I go to bed to think about what I need to accomplish the next day. I write down my goals and tasks, and I try to prioritize them. This way, I know what I need to focus on and I can start the day off on the right foot. Here are some tips for planning the night before: Set realistic goals. Don't try to do too much in one day. Focus on a few key tasks that will help you move towards your goals. Prioritize your tasks. Not all tasks are created equal. Decide which tasks are the most important and focus on those first. Break down large tasks into smaller ones. If a task seems daunting, break it down into smaller, more manageable steps. Leave some time for unexpected events. Things don't always go according to plan, so it's important to leave some time for unexpected events.
