Our most popular employee benefit is our healthy living credit. Each month, employees receive a pre-tax credit of $100 to use towards life-improving purchases such as gym memberships, housecleaning, and healthy takeout. The guidelines for this policy encourage employees to use to better their quality of life rather than a monetary bonus that would likely go towards regular bills. Plus, this benefit is a useful conversation starter among the staff. By sharing what they spent the credit on with teammates, employees have an easy way to bond with remote coworkers with whom they might not yet have much in common.
One of our most beloved employee benefits is our recently-introduced "light months" policy. This perk is a twist on the four-day workweek. Instead of offering this allowance year round, twice a year, in January and July, we give our staff the ability to take one extra fully paid day off a week. Team members love the extra time off, our staff comes back stronger and more productive after the quick refresh, and the perk offsets fluctuations in staffing needs during slower seasons.
At many companies, employee benefits are seen as a way to attract and keep talent. However, the most popular benefit that businesses offer employees may surprise you. Flexible schedules. Allowing employees to work flexible hours can save businesses up to $12 billion per year in lost productivity. Many companies offer their employees benefits such as healthcare, retirement plans, and paid time off. However, the most popular employee benefit that is offered by businesses is likely company stock. A recent study by Forbes found that 82% of businesses offering stock options to employees believe that they are the most popular benefit. In addition, a survey by First American Lending found that 73% of workers would choose a company with generous stock options over one without them. These findings suggest that offering stock options to employees is an important way to attract and retain top talent.

One benefit my employees love is how I allow them to charge significant company expenses such as flights, hotels, meals, and car rentals on their personal credit cards while ensuring timely reimbursement. This has enabled them to enjoy perks like frequent flier miles, points, and cash returns when the costs add up. The idea of cost-friendly vacations with cheaper airfare and hotel accommodations also encourages them to take a break, which is a win-win situation since employees are always more productive after a holiday. There’s also the advantage of building or improving their credit when they charge and then pay off balances quickly. Of course, I have to be smart about paying off any dues in time so that they aren’t charged any interest or late fees, but with their enthusiasm, I think the effort is worth it.
With ninety employees all remote across three continents, managing corporate culture is challenging. When we were first imagining how the company could work, we knew culture had to be one of our top priorities. Until the pandemic we held two company-wide workcations annually with the entire organization discussing goals as well as our values. There may have been rest and relaxation involved as well. We moved to Zoom during the Pandemic and are currently working on logistics for returning to in-person meetings. It turns out that as good as Zoom is, virtual windsurfing just doesn’t get it done.
Directly involving employees in the decision-making process when determining which charities to donate towards is a workplace benefit that we've found to be extremely popular since it has been introduced. By providing employees with ownership over this vital aspect of corporate social responsibility, we guarantee that our business is maximizing the time, money, and effort that it allocates towards each charity. We also provide employees with additional paid time off for charitable work, encouraging them to find the time to give back to their local communities and do good for others. This benefit has been met with universal praise, as it allows our employees to take stock of the world outside of the workplace and contribute to multiple causes near and dear to their hearts.
The most popular benefit we offer employees is pet insurance. We see our remote employees\' dogs and cats daily on Zoom meetings, and employees are constantly posting pictures of their pets on our #fun-dogs Slack channel. Yet only a few employees have pet insurance, let alone know it exists. It is an easy voluntary benefit to add to your company\'s portfolio, and your employees will thank you when they are able to cover their pets\' expenses without worry in the future.
Providing employees with uniquely tailored personal development initiatives is an extremely popular benefit that serves to improve long-term employee experience. Directly engaging with your employees and determining their interests outside of the workplace is something that I highly recommend to others looking to facilitate internal growth. Establishing a vested interest in these areas illustrates that you care for your employees and want to invest in them as individuals - rather than cogs in the machine. At the start of each year, we meet with employees individually to determine a personal development plan that allows them to draw on their unique interests in order to build traits that can be brought back into the workplace. Examples of these initiatives include creative writing and improvisational acting classes. It's important to build a culture of learning and development, even when the skills or traits development might not directly relate to an employee's role in the company.
We offer an extensive package of employee benefits that range from dental insurance to tickets to cultural events as well as a coworking space, considering that we’re a fully remote company. Though one of the most popular benefits that our employees enjoy are the so-called duvet days. It’s a day that company agrees employees can take off without advance notice. Duvet days are built into the company policy and can be taken whenever the employee wants a day off, but isn\'t sick and hasn\'t already requested annual leave. We don’t ask for the reason for the day off, allowing employees to feel comfortable and safe in their decision-making process while fostering a loyal and accountable work environment.
Here at Clarkstaff, we offer all our employees wellness vacation leave. We started implementing it for all our employees because we want them to know that we value their mental health. The best part is the employee does not have to explain why they are going on leave. Basically, we respect the privacy and well-being of our employees.
Our team members are our most valuable assets, without them, we wouldn't be where we are today, so we are always looking for ways to show appreciation, motivate and inspire. The benefit that our in-house surveys have shown is the most revered, is the "Team building with a cause". We are huge believers in sharing our successes and giving back to the community, supporting worthy causes near and far, and involving our team in these endeavors. Whether it's getting the team out of the office for community events such as tree planting, beach clean-ups, helping the homeless, or designing and manufacturing products that allocate all profits to charity (https://customneon.com/be-the-change/ ) feedback has shown that the intrinsic rewards our employees gain from committing to a meaningful purpose, bears more weight than any tangible rewards we can offer. This is definitely a benefit more employees should get on board with. Jess Munday People & Culture Manager - https://customneon.com/
With the current state of the workforce, our employees are appreciating the flexibility and freedom we are offering them to choose how and where they work. For example, our hybrid work environment is running smoothly, with employees appreciative of our flexible policies. While we are proud that most of our employees are currently choosing to work from the physical office, it's a huge benefit to them that their employees gives them the accessibility and resources they need to work wherever is most comfortable and accommodating.

The most popular benefit we offer is by far a special membership card called Multisport, that lets our employees access a wide variety of gym facilities. It is especially appreciated by people working from home, who might suffer from a lack of exercise and seek to remedy that issue. The card also encourages those employees, who normally wouldn’t buy a gym membership id because of high subscription fees, to take better care of themselves.
The most popular benefit any company, including ours, can offer are wellness packages as part of our overall health care packages. Employees want to stay healthy and love prevention health packages to help them do that. This includes routine tests covered by insurance, discounts on things like vitamins and certain supplements, and life screening tests that analyze things like stroke or heart risk. It saves our company money too because these programs catch issues before they become serious problems and that reduces insurance and medical costs.
It is no secret that great benefits are key to keeping employees healthy and happy. The most popular employee benefit offered at our company is unlimited paid time off. Giving employees the generous option to take time off when it is needed as long as it does interfere with getting their work done makes for greater flexibility in the employee's personal life. This takes the pressure off employees to come to work when they are not feeling well or have big events in their personal life. It also creates an environment that breeds higher productivity as a happy employee is a more productive one. Although there can be fear and potential for misuse, the pros outweigh the disadvantages of this great benefit.
As a minority owned business, we wanted to engage our employees and ensure that they feel included and appreciated. We make employment transparency a central pledge to our company. We advertise as a minimum each employee starts out at a minimum of $20.00/hr. Ensure that the employee feels appreciated for the work they are doing attracts a wider array of qualified and dedicated employees.
I'm delighted to notice that my company's most popular employee benefit is a sports card. Of 63 people we hire, 35 decided to take advantage of this perk. It's full 55%! For me, this is the best evidence that a healthy lifestyle is all the rave. All in all, in healthy body, healthy spirit.
Hands down our "unlimited" time off policy is our most popular. I place the quotes around unlimited, because obviously there is a limit, but as we inform our employees, that limit is connected directly to their accountability to the team and their responsibilities. In other words, an employee can't take off indefinitely, without communicating, and not meeting the expectations and responsibilities of their position. If they are producing as expected and meeting those expectations consistently, then they are free to take off as much time as they'd like. We have had no issues with productivity since instituting this benefit. For us, we prioritize communication and transparency. That is a two-way street, and as the company we have to show that we trust our employees, as much as we need to see them as trustworthy. Providing a supportive workplace environment goes a long way in maintaining productivity and enjoying life as well. Please let me know if you have any questions!
The most popular employee benefit that we offer at our company is our 401(k) plan. Our 401(k) plan allows employees to save for retirement on a tax-deferred basis, and we offer a matching contribution of up to 6% of an employee's salary. This benefit is very popular with our employees, and we are proud to offer it.
The most popular employee benefit at our company is health insurance. By having this benefit, employees are able to have peace of mind knowing that they and their families are covered in the case of an emergency.
