Hard to beat an old favorite. And while we use a ton of modern collaboration tools like Mira, Trello, and JIRA, Google Sheet still leads the pack. For the majority of reporting and planning we run, a spreadsheet is the best tool for the job. Sharing and commenting are key to the collaborative power. A very typical cycle for our team: create the draft report, open it up for comment, create revisions, and work with the findings. Every member of our team is very comfortable with Google Sheets, and we see no reason that will change in the future.
Basecamp is my absolute favorite employee collaboration tool at our company. It's unique because it's packed with time-saving features that streamline our workflow and boost productivity. From task assignment to scheduling, file sharing to communication, everything is simplified. Not to mention, it's a tool that even our angel investors appreciate for its efficiency and ease of use. It truly fosters teamwork and promotes a seamless work culture, making it an invaluable asset to our company.
We have a lot of love for Notion at our company. We've tried other project management platforms. We've tried other document sharing platforms. We've tried other intranets. No tool can do all three better than Notion. It's so intuitive and flexible that you can literally build your dream work process with very few barriers to entry. It's really a blank canvas. But, there are thousands of avid users in the Notion community who share their ways of working, templates and so on, so you can get some fantastic functionality going really quickly. It's a dream for real-time document sharing too. And don't get me started on the database functionality - we'd be here all day. Suffice it to say, Notion is THE place you want to build your office, online.
Effective collaboration grows when there is trust between the collaborators. Trust develops from knowing the people beyond a surface level of acquaintance. In the shift to remote work, employees are often hired through video interviews and may meet their teammates outside of on-line meetings only infrequently. The social aspect must be recaptured intentionally while our workplaces become solitary. Loneliness is the enemy of strong collaboration. To combat isolation and nostalgia for "the way it used to be" we employed a tool called Meetaway to build ancillary connections between employees. An immediate success, Meetaway randomly pairs participants for short conversations and then rotates them to new partners via their online platform. We've used Meetaway for purely social encounters, to pair new employees with experienced ones for knowledge sharing, onboarding, and for skip-levels meetings. Meetaway has been a great way to improve collaboration through contact.
Otter.ai is one of my current favorite tools for collaboration, mainly because it effectively saves me a lot of time. The service does a solid job at transcribing meetings and conversations, which lightens the load of note-taking, an important factor for productivity. The tool's voice-to-text capabilities are reliable enough to aid in maintaining records of discussions. While it's not perfect, especially in situations with overlapping conversations or non-native accents, its accuracy is decent for the most part. The ability to generate summary keywords and search transcriptions is an advantage, allowing for easier recall and reference. This ensures that critical points are not missed and that everyone on the team is well-informed.
I absolutely love Trello. It's a lifesaver! Its simplicity is what makes it stand out, but don't be fooled, it's incredibly powerful. Imagine a digital bulletin board filled with sticky notes, where each note represents a task. You can move these tasks around, assign them to people, add due dates, attach files - it's so versatile. The best part? Everything is visually organized so you can see the workflow in real time. It keeps everyone in the loop without a constant barrage of meetings or emails. So, it's not just a tool, it's our productivity companion, keeping the chaos at bay, one card at a time.
At our organisation we find that Slack is the most popular employee collaboration tool used. The unique aspect of Slack is the number of integrations it enables, from fun quizzes and games which encourage socializing amongst our remote employees, to being able to share documents we're co-working on and even connecting with our partner organisations through joint channels. You can do it all!
We use Airtable for almost everything that we do, from managing a content calendar, assigning content to writers and editors, providing feedback to the content team, tracking invoices, managing sprints, and even product development. It is a powerful tool that we like to call "Google Sheets on steroids". Our entire organization runs on Airtable as it is easy to use and offers numerous customization options.
At our company, our favorite employee collaboration tool is KlaxoChat. What makes this tool unique is its integration of artificial intelligence capabilities. With KlaxoChat, employees can not only communicate with each other through instant messaging, but they also have access to a virtual assistant that helps streamline their workflow. This AI-powered assistant can schedule meetings, provide information on upcoming deadlines, and even suggest resources or tools that might be relevant to ongoing projects. Additionally, KlaxoChat also offers real-time language translation for international teams, allowing us to collaborate seamlessly without language barriers. The convenience and efficiency provided by the combination of instant messaging and integrated artificial intelligence features truly make KlaxoChat stand out among other collaboration tools in the market.
The TIGERS Team Wheel exercise is our favorite employee collaboration tool. This exercise and subsequent facilitation teaches employees the behaviors that build high performance collaboration and behaviors that cause predictable problems. This tool is used any time a new team is formed and for onboarding new employees. In new teams, the subsequent facilitation asks new team members what they need to keep trust among each other high, interdependence focused, genuineness ensured, risk resolution productive and success achievable. By engaging employees in the solutions that keep their teamwork high functioning with conflict and misunderstandings minimized, they own the solutions and are accountable for them. As a result the team leader can focus on team achievement rather than resistance and team problems. This ensures goals are achieved on schedule and if problems are encountered they are resolved so the team can more forward.
At our company, we have a tool that steals the limelight with its awesomeness - drumroll, please - it's none other than "TeamUpUnite 3000"! This collaboration wizard is as unique as a unicorn playing the ukulele. What sets TeamUpUnite 3000 apart? Well, it's got more features than a Swiss Army knife. It seamlessly integrates with popular apps like Slack and Trello, ensuring smooth communication and task management. Plus, it has nifty productivity metrics that put Sherlock Holmes to shame. The cherry on top? It's user-friendly, like finding the last slice of pizza in the fridge on a Friday night. Picture this: Sarah from Marketing and Tom from Design effortlessly collaborating on a mind-blowing campaign, sharing files and ideas faster than Usain Bolt runs the 100m. That's the magic of TeamUpUnite 3000 – transforming collaboration into a harmonious dance.
Google Jam Board has changed the game of collaboration at my company. We've tried numerous other applications, but Jam Board worked the best as its interface was the most friendly, intuitive, and aesthetically pleasing. It allowed us to collaboratively and remotely brainstorm ideas together. Best of all, it is compatible with Google Drive, which is the software our company is based on.
Mattermost is hands down my favorite employee collaboration tool and it's helped us move away from outdated platforms like TeamSpeak, Skype, and IRC. I think our favorite part about this app is its refreshing interface which makes it incredibly easy for team members to jump into conversations seamlessly — a huge consideration since we operate remotely. It really takes collaboration to the next level with its Trello-style project boards which enable our teams to visualize their work in an organized way by dragging and dropping messages, images, and files between columns.
Hot desking is a flexible seating arrangement that can help improve employee collaboration by increasing interaction, providing greater flexibility, and better use of space. QuickFMS Hot Desk Booking Software is a cloud-based software that helps businesses manage their hot desking programs. The software provides real-time data on desk usage, collaboration tools, and reporting. What's unique about this Hot Desk Booking Software is that it is cloud-based, easy to use, flexible, and affordable. Specifically, the real-time data on desk usage can help businesses identify areas where collaboration is lacking. The collaboration tools, such as chat and video conferencing, can help employees connect with each other even when they are not sitting at the same desk. The reporting on desk usage and collaboration can help businesses track their progress and make improvements. Overall, QuickFMS Hot Desk Booking Software is a valuable tool that can help businesses improve employee collaboration
Google Workspace in my opinion is one of the best employee colaboration tool that offers a suite of collaboration including Google Drive, Google Docs, Google Sheets, and Google Meet. Its unique feature that i like the most is its ability to collaborate on documents and files in real-time, allowing multiple team members to work simultaneously on the same document.
Our favorite employee collaboration tool is Slack. It is a great way for our employees to communicate with one another. It allows us to have separate channels for different departments which makes it easy for people to find the information they are looking for. It is also a great way for our employees to stay connected while they are away from the office.
At our small but thriving enterprise of tiny home creation, my preferred tool for team collaboration is, without a doubt, Notion. The versatility of this platform is what sets it apart. There was an incident where our design team was scattered due to a sudden storm. With our schedules haywire and documents scattered, Notion came to the rescue. Its ability to consolidate tasks, resources, and conversations in one accessible hub proved invaluable. We used it to swiftly realign our goals, reshuffle our timelines, and, before we knew it, we were back on track, building our customers' dream tiny homes.
I'm really fond of ClickUp! What a lifesaver it is! It keeps all of us on the same page, thanks to its easy task assignment and tracking. I love how it allows us to set goals, giving us a clear path to follow. The time tracking feature is just awesome, it makes sure we stay productive and focused. And the cherry on top is the chat function - it's like having a virtual meeting room open 24/7. Everything we need is in one place. To me, ClickUp is more than just a tool, it's the engine that keeps our work moving forward. Regards, Irina Poddubnaia, Founder and CEO of TrackMage.com
Slack has been a God-send for our company. The software is an internal texting tool that allows our team to communicate with each other based on topics. For instance, we have a channel for social media, sales, new product ideas, and more. Prior to implementing this tool, if someone had a question, they'd likely call, email, or text the person who might have the answer. Each of those responses were never cataloged anywhere. So, the same expert might be asked the same question multiple times each year. Each time, the expert had to retype the same response. With Slack, my team starts by typing keywords into the searchbar. Most often, they will find the question asked previously with the response. It saves a ton of time and encourages the sharing of ideas and solutions to the entire team versus just the person in the next office over.
Chandni Chopra, Director - Human Resources, LambdaTest (www.lambdatest.com) said, "Slack is a widely used real-time messaging and collaboration platform. Its uniqueness lies in its intuitive interface, customizable channels, and seamless integration with various third-party applications, making it easy for teams to communicate, share files, and stay organized. It also lets one be updated on the move and helps in team collaboration and solving queries within minimal time".
