Went to a wedding a long time ago and heard the version of this song and can't even remember what was happening throughout the wedding for those 2 minutes. My ears were connected to the version of this song sung by Ben Lee. The original version of Float On by Modest Mouse is fantastic but a bit too hard for me for a wedding which is where Ben's version literally floats. He strips the song back to an acoustic version that takes the words of Modest Mouse and makes it a perfect song to dance around a wedding floor. The words are such a perfect piece to a wedding, "we'll float on good news is on the way". I request it at every wedding I'm at and would happily dance at my own wedding one day to Ben Lee - Float On.
When it comes to the song I want to be my first dance at my wedding, there's no other choice but Czech singer Karel Gott's "Just Carry On". This classic Czech love song holds a special place in my heart. Every time I hear it, I am taken back to times spent with close friends and family in the Czech Republic, dancing away until the early hours of the morning. Not only does this beautiful melody bring back fond memories for me, but also connection with Czech culture and our unique heritage. When planning our special day, there is no other track that could mean more to me.
We wanted our first dance to be foxtrot because it's really romantic and elegant. It's also relatively easy to learn, which was important to us since we are not the greatest dancers. There are a lot of foxtrot classics for weddings, like ‘Fly me to the moon’ by Frank Sinatra, but we wanted something different. Something that’s not overdone. Then I stumbled upon Sam Ryder ‘More’, and we knew that that was the one. I’m still getting chills every time I hear it playing.
I chose Fly Me to the Moon, because it's classic and timeless, well-known and loved by all my family. It was familiar to most of my guests, so some of them joined in and sing along. This song has a romantic and sentimental quality, which for me was a must for a first dance song. The lyrics, which talk about the desire to be with someone forever and to go to the moon and back for them, are a perfect expression of the love and commitment that we were celebrating on our wedding day. Also, Fly Me to the Moon has this smooth and elegant melody, so it created a romantic and intimate atmosphere.
After watching the movie, A Quiet Place, my partner and I knew that this song would be the perfect choice for our first dance. The lyrics speak to us on a personal level as we are in similar stages of life and are both looking for an opportunity to make our dreams come true. The melody is so soothing and romantici it's impossible not to feel the love that surrounds us when this song plays. It's a timeless classic, and it was an iconic moment for our wedding! Additionally, the song symbolizes a new beginning and adventure for our life together. This makes it all the more special and meaningful to us.
My first dance at my wedding would be "Endless Love" by Lionel Richie and Diana Ross. The lyrics perfectly express the deep feelings of love, commitment, and devotion that I have for my partner. It's a timeless classic that never gets old, and it reminds me of so many special moments in our relationship — from the early days of falling in love, to the present day. Even after all these years, I still get butterflies when I hear this song, and it feels like a perfect way to start our wedding celebration! Plus, it's just a great song to dance to! It has a beautiful melody and an unforgettable chorus that will be sure to get everyone out on the dance floor.
I would definitely want this song to be my first dance at my wedding. I believe that marriage is a sanctimonious union. I want to marry someone without whom life would be intolerable. It would be someone who enriches my life with love and light. And these words sum up that circumstance perfectly. "When colors turn to shades of gray, with the weight of the world at the end of the day, what would I do without you?"
Taylor swift is always a classic. I usually resonate with all her lyrics but this song is something special. When i heard this song , I immediately knew this was the one and the lyrics are extremely beautiful too. "Ladies and gentlemen, will you please stand? With every guitar string scar on my hand I take this magnetic force of a man to be my lover My heart's been borrowed and yours has been blue All's well that ends well to end up with you Swear to be overdramatic and true to my lover And you'll save all your dirtiest jokes for me And at every table, I'll save you a seat, lover"
At my wedding, the song for the first dance would definitely be Every Time We Touch by Cascada. This is a beautiful lyric song that makes my heart flutter every time I listen to it. I want to tell the person I love dearly, how happy I can be to be able to get married to him and build a family that belongs to us.
“Sweet Child O Mine” by Guns' n Roses has a special place in my heart as it is to be the song for my first dance at my wedding. This decision was easy for me to make, because “Sweet Child O Mine” has been the song that reminds me of the most precious moments of being in love with my fiance. It is a reminder of spending time cuddling and dancing together throughout our relationship, and I can think of no better song to celebrate this milestone event in our lives with than “Sweet Child O Mine.”
