Mostly because I would like to keep living on this planet long, long into the future. Levity aside, it really does form the cornerstone of good business practices and good practices in life as a whole. I've always been a fan of the hiking mantra of carry in what you carry out, which I try to apply to environmental sustainability practices wherever possible - like maintaining carbon neutrality. A lot of it is an adjustment, but not as big of an imposition as some would have you believe, and I think doing our part is important.
I'm passionate about environmental sustainability because I want to protect nature, support strained ecosystems and create a more positive world. Humans have quite literally changed the face of the world. Unfortunately we're seeing the consequences of that rapid change through more and more extreme climate events. The world we inhabit is special and unique. Not just that, but it sustains us. We rely on nature and a stable environment. For this reason, we need to work with the environment and not against it. I started Tiny Eco to share knowledge and inspire others to live more sustainably - whether this is by making better everyday choices at home or supporting ethical companies. My goal is to use my platform to shine a light on causes I care about. Small, positive steps compound over time - that's my belief. I aim to educate and help people live more in harmony with the environment and create a better world for tomorrow.
One experience that has profoundly shaped my passion for the environment was during my travels in South America, where I visited a virgin area of the Amazon rainforest. Being lucky enough to explore an ancient jungle that was completely untouched by human development left me with a real perspective on why we need to protect and preserve our natural environment. For me, environmental sustainability is about reconnecting with nature as much as it's about the advancement of technology and culture. We're responsible for creating a more equitable and sustainable planet for future generations, and I believe that even the smallest efforts will leave a lasting impact. I channel my passion for sustainability into my website, which aims to encourage others to adopt eco-friendly alternatives in their daily lives. I find it really empowering to know that I'm inspiring others to make sustainable choices.
Being a business owner means opening your eyes to the massive amount of waste each and every company produces. It's not hard to realize the effect a conglomerate one-hundred times your size must be having on the environment: all you need to do is take a look at the dumpster outside your office. And while making better choices at home is one thing, it's truly a drop in the bucket compared to industry. Contributing to this, even as a mid-sized business is disheartening. It's driven me to make decisions to lessen our waste. A few bad choices add up fast when you have dozens of employees. If I truly believe that capitalism can align itself with environmental responsibility (and I do), owning my own business means I now have a chance to prove it day-to-day. I am a serial entrepreneur with kids, so if I don't take it seriously and pursue it as hard as I can then who will? This is a mindset that I hope is shared by many other business leaders, especially the younger generation who will have to shoulder the impact of a changing climate. While individual actions, or even the actions of small businesses like my own, may be a drop in the bucket against what is being done on a global scale I like to think that enough drops can make a difference.
Doing business in 2023 means putting environmental sustainability at the forefront of your planning processes, a fact that suits me just fine as I find it to be among the most important factors that should be guiding our decision making. It is the longest of long term views, that we can engage with with the actions we take today. Without it, we're going to be left with some fairly big issues in the not so distant future so I have always felt that putting in the effort to do what I can to be the least I can do.
As a sustainability consultant and educator, I find fulfillment in guiding organizations towards sustainable practices. It's more than a job to me; it's a rooted desire to make a positive impact. My passion for sustainability is personal. I believe in living a life that respects and preserves our natural world for future generations. The field of sustainability is ever-evolving, and staying at the forefront of sustainable technology and practices is exhilarating. I thrive on the challenge of adapting to and embracing new sustainable solutions.
One of my top priorities when working for different businesses over my career has always been environmental sustainability. I believe it’s important for businesses to do what they can to offset their environmental footprint and even help the environment if they can. They are essentially the ones creating the products after all, and that means that (if they get big enough), they could end up doing a lot of damage to our planet if they’re not careful. One of the things that appealed to me when I found Oxygen Plus was their values when it came to sustainability. It was even part of the application process to discuss sustainability initiatives and how I thought they could improve. Since I joined the team, we frequently look at what’s possible, where we can improve our sustainability practices, and what might change in the future. And, to me, that’s one of the most exciting aspects of my job.
How do you spend your time? Most spend it at work, and most aren't *tickled pink* with work. I never dream of work. I dream of traveling. I want to explore Earth and marvel at all it offers. I *do* the work for plane tickets. Traveling puts me out of my comfort zone, which is my favorite place to be. It inspires me to push the limits, + something powerful about chasing adventures as they come to share new and meaningful experiences with good company. Be it big beautiful mountain or a subtle sandy oasis, there's always a heartbreaking moment that I find someone wasn't as nice to Earth as they as they should be. Plastic pollution disrups our ecosystems ability to adapt to climate change + directly affects all lives, our food production and our social-well being. As much as I love travel, the more I do, the more I realized, the world needs * a lot* of work. As a Sustainability Consultant, I teach people how to transform their waste into a resource via recycling/composting efforts.
As a female CEO of an education company, my passion for environmental sustainability is deeply embedded in my work. Just like we painstakingly piece together Kanji characters to communicate effectively in Japanese, we need to take small, consistent steps to protect our planet. Each recycling effort, each cut down on emissions, and each planted tree is like a stroke in the larger picture of sustainability, shaping a healthier and safer environment for our students. I believe, a sustainable planet and quality education go hand-in-hand, each adding value to the other.
I am passionate about environmental sustainability because it promotes social justice by ensuring equal access to clean air, water, and resources for all. Environmental issues often impact marginalized communities disproportionately. By advocating for sustainable practices, we can address these disparities and create a more equitable society. For example, in low-income neighborhoods, there is often a higher concentration of pollution-emitting industries, leading to adverse health effects. By fighting for environmental sustainability, we can work towards ensuring that everyone, regardless of their socioeconomic status, has a healthy and safe environment to live in.

As a real estate professional, I have seen first-hand the impact that humans can have on the environment. From deforestation to pollution, it's clear that our actions are taking a toll on the planet. But what truly drives my passion for environmental sustainability is the realization that we have the power to make a positive change. By implementing sustainable practices and promoting eco-friendly solutions, we can help preserve our planet for future generations. This motivates me to constantly seek out new ways to incorporate sustainability into my work and everyday life. I believe that small actions can make a big difference, and that's why I am passionate about environmental sustainability.
Recognizing our role as Earth's stewards involves engaging in mindful consumption, promoting sustainability, and sharing environmental passion. These actions are crucial for a sustainable lifestyle, supporting eco-friendly industries, and benefiting the planet and ourselves. Choosing products aligned with eco-principles reduces waste and ensures resource longevity. Sharing commitment creates a ripple effect, fostering a collective consciousness for a sustainable future. Every small effort, from selecting reusable alternatives to advocating eco-friendly policies, significantly contributes to a planet-friendly lifestyle. It becomes an integral aspect of daily existence, promoting a harmonious coexistence with our environment.
I am passionate about environmental sustainability because I believe it presents significant economic opportunities. Investing in renewable energy, green technologies, and sustainable practices can create new jobs, stimulate economic growth, and foster innovation. For example, the transition to renewable energy sources like solar and wind power has led to the expansion of the clean energy sector, attracting investments and creating employment opportunities in manufacturing, installation, and maintenance of renewable energy infrastructure. By pursuing environmental sustainability, we can not only protect the planet but also contribute to economic prosperity and build a sustainable future.
My personal commitment to environmental sustainability is rooted in a profound sense of responsibility for our planet and the well-being of future generations. Witnessing the escalating impact of climate change and environmental degradation intensifies my dedication to promoting sustainable practices. I strongly believe in the effectiveness of collaborative endeavors to conserve biodiversity, address pollution, and shift towards environmentally friendly solutions. The urgency to protect the Earth propels my enthusiasm, inspiring me to play a part in creating a more sustainable and resilient world through thoughtful decisions, advocacy, and cultivating awareness of environmental stewardship based on my own experiences and reflections.
As a tech CEO, my passion for environmental sustainability is intertwined with our corporate strategy. Much like we employ cutting-edge tech to better serve our stakeholders, we must utilize sustainable solutions to conserve our greatest stakeholder: our planet. To me, sustainability isn't a trend, but a necessity, in the same way respecting our users' needs and privacy is. Our tech universe and the earth must coexist, not just for my generation, but for the future. Sustainability is the 'golden code' I believe every tech firm should operate on.
My passion for environmental sustainability is a synthesis of early influences, professional experiences, and a commitment to making a positive impact. It's a journey that goes beyond personal choices, aiming to contribute to a collective effort to preserve and protect our planet for future generations.

I'm really passionate about environmental sustainability because of all the amazing new technologies that help us live in a more planet-friendly way. Seeing inventions like solar panels and wind turbines change how we get energy is exciting. They help us use less oil and gas. Also, electric cars are starting to replace normal cars, which is great for reducing pollution. These changes aren't just good for the earth; they show how creative and smart we can be in taking care of our planet.
My passion for environmental sustainability stems from a deep understanding of the interconnectedness of our ecosystem and the urgent need to preserve it for future generations. Witnessing the impact of climate change, pollution, and resource depletion on our planet and its inhabitants drives my commitment to sustainable practices. Environmental sustainability is not just about protecting nature; it's about ensuring a healthy, livable world for everyone. It involves making conscious choices that balance economic, social, and environmental welfare. This passion is fueled by the belief that even small, individual actions can lead to significant collective impact, and that through innovation, education, and collaboration, we can create a more sustainable, equitable future for all.
