My passion for public relations stems from the profound impact it has on building and nurturing relationships between an organization and its various stakeholders. This passion is rooted in the belief that communication is the cornerstone of trust and understanding, key elements that drive any organization's success. One particular experience that solidified my passion for public relations was during my tenure at Resorts World Manila (RWM). I was involved in the Pinoy Ultimate Jeepney Design Competition, a project that was not just a marketing initiative but a cultural celebration. This campaign allowed us to engage with the community, showcase Filipino creativity, and foster a sense of pride and belonging. Witnessing the enthusiasm of the participants and the positive media attention, I realized the power of public relations to inspire, engage, and unite people. At SAFC, this passion continued to evolve, especially through the "SAFC's #IamGREENHERO Reduce Reuse Redrive" campaign. It wasn't just about promoting a product; it was about instigating a movement towards sustainability. The campaign's success in changing perceptions and behaviors towards secondhand car financing demonstrated to me how public relations can be a force for positive change, aligning public interests with business objectives. These experiences have taught me that public relations is not just about managing reputations or crafting messages; it's about creating meaningful connections and fostering a dialogue that can lead to real-world impacts. It is this ability to influence, educate, and engage that drives my passion for public relations, making it not just a profession but a purpose.
Working in music marketing and PR is a dream come true for me, as it allows me to combine my love for music with my skills in communication and promotion. I thrive on the creativity and energy of the music industry, where every campaign presents a unique opportunity to craft compelling narratives, generate excitement around new releases, and foster meaningful connections between artists and their fans. Whether it's organizing album launches, securing media coverage, or curating engaging social media content, I'm passionate about leveraging my expertise to help artists build their brand and reach new audiences. Ultimately, music marketing and PR is not just a job for me – it's a way to contribute to the vibrant and ever-evolving world of music while making a tangible impact on artists' careers.
When I started my journey in Public Relations, it was by accident. But over the years I have learn and grown in the field simply because of the excitement I feel everytime I see my clients featured. The thrill of speaking to new people and being exposed to clients- big and small not only is a great way to learn more about the world but also keep you up to date on the happenings around the world. My passion for public relations purely stems from the mystery as well as thrill of helping my clients grow!
If you look up one of the most stressful jobs, you'll likely see "publicist" somewhere on that list. This is because brands hire publicists to achieve big goals. These may look like putting their businesses on the map, positioning them as authorities in their industry, increasing their brand awareness, breaking them into new networks, earning meaningful press opportunities that truly tells their story, or building new and sustainable sales funnels through consistent press features. As a public relations professional, I also have to be ready to coordinate media opportunities at the drop of a hat. On the flip side, PR is one of the most rewarding career choices that I could have made for myself! I am solely responsible for making some of my clients' wildest dreams come true. PR is my passion because of the outcome. credit line: Lydia Bagarozza, Publicist, www.lydiabagarozza.com high-res: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1vtFaiVMh6iZjFeEzVLUteaENK1L-Agvy/view?usp=sharing
PR combines everything I love: content writing, creativity, research, collaboration and most importantly, helping out brands. I love being able to flex my writing and creative muscles in a way that helps brands get the recognition and fanfare they deserve, and nothing makes me happier than when I score a link in a top publication. To me, PR is like a puzzle, and being able to utilise my knowledge of the media, consumer habits, trends and the news cycle to curate a brand's image is a challenge I love to do every day. Coming from a media and creative background, PR allows me to use every skill in my arsenal, and no day is ever the same - something I love as a professional with ADHD. Every day I'm engaging in something exciting, whether that's writing up a reactive press release, liaising with journalists, or booking clients for interviews or events. I'm passionate about PR because I'm doing something I love every day that has tangible results.

Public Relations for me is such a rewarding career simply because I can be impactful in my outreach. It's liberating to bring awareness to small businesses because they're doing things that are changing the lives of those around us. As a PR pro, I believe you must have that grit and passion for storytelling and convincing people to share and tell your story. When clients can witness the power of publicity, they become aware of its importance and they learn what makes their business newsworthy. In this industry, it's truly a passion and love for the craft. Not everyone can deal with the pressure or rejection of media pitching, strategies, etc., but when you've built this into who you are and your persona, it begins to become natural and that's what I love about it. PR is not just something you say you do, it's something that you're built to do. I was BORN TO DO THIS!
There are very few instances in life where you get to craft a message, share it and generally expect it to be used as you've shared it. A press release is one such example, and one that has always appealed to me greatly because you can shape the message you release to be just so - perfectly exemplifying the business you've put together and letting others view your work as you hope them to without trying to sell them something at the same time.
I'm passionate about public relations because it allows me to craft and narrate a brand's story in a way that resonates with its audience, building meaningful connections and trust. I particularly love that marketing and PR is in a time when story telling is a big thing and something consumers want.
Public relations is more effective than traditional marketing. This is because marketing feels like marketing, and people automatically put up their defenses when they’re being advertised to. However, with PR, the message gets to the public without those defense mechanisms in the way. In addition, we use PR to talk about our values. The long term relationships we build with customers, and the community around the brand, are built on shared values.
I’ve decided to focus my topic on public relations because it’s a diverse area and it plays a vital role for the relations between an organisation and its publics – strategic communication helps to develop understanding and trust between them. This is what every successful business needs. What I value most is the opportunity to tell stories that capture the hearts and minds of diverse audiences, and ultimately influence their perceptions and decisions. I find that the ability to articulate a powerful narrative and relate with stakeholders in a meaningful way not only builds brand loyalty but also positively shapes an organisation’s long-term reputation.

This has allowed me to develop strong communication and interpersonal skills, which are essential in the world of public relations.I am always looking for creative and innovative ways to market properties and reach potential buyers. This involves understanding target audiences, crafting compelling messages, and utilizing various media channels. These skills are directly transferable to the field of public relations, where effective communication and strategic marketing are crucial. Moreover, public relations allows me to constantly learn and evolve. The industry is ever-changing, with new trends, technologies, and strategies emerging all the time. This keeps me on my toes and challenges me to think outside the box, which I find both exciting and fulfilling.Additionally, as a real estate agent, I am constantly building and maintaining relationships with clients, colleagues, and community members. This has taught me the importance of networking and how to effectively manage relationships. In the field of public relations, strong relationship management is essential for success.

It's a dynamic field that requires strategic thinking, creativity, and adaptability. I find fulfillment in crafting compelling narratives, building solid relationships with stakeholders, and navigating the ever-changing media landscape. Public relations offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact by effectively conveying messages, managing reputations, and influencing public perception. Public relations is a multifaceted discipline that intersects with various industries, enabling me to learn and grow continuously. It's a field where I can leverage my skills to shape narratives, drive positive change, and contribute to the success of organizations and their stakeholders.
As an entrepreneur, I've spent the last dozen years of my life building up my company from the ground up. As you might imagine, this means that I feel very strongly about how that company is perceived and go out of my way to make sure that public relations is a key part of our overall outreach strategy. PR in general has always been something that I've felt strongly about because I've spent so long championing a niche that has only recently gotten popular in hybrid workforce management. Being able to share your ideas with the media is extremely important to me because it means more and more people will come around to what my team and I believe to be the best way to work for both people and companies.
