You're still using your summer moisturizer? That won't do in the winter. You need something stronger, which is why you ought to try out ointments or creams. Jojoba oil or shea butter, for instance, will do the job and ensure your skin is ready to face the cold winds of winter and emerge victorious. Remember, however, that everyone's skin's got different needs, and you should look for just the right ingredients.
With the colder temps affecting your hair, skin, and nails, what is one way you can avoid winter wreaking havoc on your beauty routine? You can use products that are specifically designed to help protect against the elements. Try a balm that contains SPF and is made with natural ingredients. The balm will help to keep your lips moisturized while also acting as a shield against UV rays. This means that you won't have to worry about damaging your lips by going outside without sunscreen. You can also try using a moisturizer with SPF or a lip gloss that has sun protection in it. It's best to apply these products before going outside so they will be effective at protecting against the sun's harmful rays!

During winter, exfoliating, toning, and moisturizing help mitigate any havoc caused to your beauty routine. Exfoliating ensures that you quench any dry, thirsty skin and remove any built-up dead skin cells that may have accumulated during the simmering summer. Dead skin cells build up on the surface, preventing moisture from penetrating the skin. Toners pick up dead skin cell residues that get lifted by your exfoliator, leaving behind a nice and clean surface. The aftermath of toner is skin that is clear with skin barrier ph levels that are perfectly balanced. During winter, your face is the most exposed to cold weather, causing it to be dehydrated. Utilizing a moisturizer during winter helps your skin retain hydration and moisture levels, making it feel soft and smooth.
Sophia Loren once said "Beauty is how you feel inside and it reflects in your eyes". I may not be a beauty expert but I coach people in one of Canada's coldest cities and I've seen first hand the effects of winter blues and SAD (Seasonal Affective Disorder) on their appearance, their mood and their performance. Winter can make you feel sluggish, lose interest in hobbies or socializing, have difficulty sleeping and consume more carbs. And since our inner and external worlds are interconnected winter affect snot just how we feel and perform but the look of our hair, face and skin too. In order to prevent this my advice is to make feeling good your main priority every single day! Pick one and stick to it for 90 days. - Chat with a high vibration person daily - Take a 5 minute walk before work - List 100 feel-good things and do 1 each day - Save and play your favourite comedy skit during lunch - Set an alarm to get up and stretch every hour - Drink water every time you check your phone
You shouldn't let your skin dry and your skin should always be moist. In order to make it so, apply creams that are best in making your skin moist and protect your skin from the pollutants in the air. Don't forget to apply the cream before going out and before going to bed. This would my tip for you to avoid winter wreaking havoc.
