How Workflows work
A PR professional's scarcest resource is time — and most of it goes to being a human filter. Workflows delete that job.
Pick a template
Eleven templates cover the recurring hunts of PR — or start in chat and describe what you want watched. Setup takes a few clicks.
Describe, schedule, route
What to match, when to look, where to send. Your plain-language description is the matching criteria, so it evolves as you do.
Act on what arrives
Digests land in Slack or email; each item opens into Featured's chat for the draft, the pitch, or the submission. You stay the editor.
Agents can run them too
The Featured MCP server lets Claude, Cursor, and your own agents create and manage workflows — always-on PR, initiated by a sentence.

Workflows — frequently asked questions
What are Featured Workflows?
Always-on automations that monitor media and visibility opportunities and deliver them to your inbox or Slack. Each workflow is three decisions: what to match (described in plain language), when to look (hourly to monthly), and where to send results. Templates cover journalist requests, HARO, podcasts, journalists, bylines, mentions, competitors, GEO, speaking, and awards.
How long does setup take?
A few clicks from a template, or one sentence in chat — “set up a workflow that monitors journalist requests about fintech and emails me daily.” There's no query syntax to learn; the plain-language description is the configuration.
Do Workflows require a paid plan?
Yes — workflows are part of Featured's paid plans: Lite at $39/month and Pro at $79/month, billed annually. Every plan includes every feature and every template; only usage scales. Everything a workflow automates can be tried free, one search at a time, in Featured chat.
Which workflow should I start with?
If you want one answer: All-in-One, which covers every opportunity type in a single digest. If you have a sharper job — never missing a HARO query, tracking a competitor, watching AI answers — start with that template and add others as they earn their keep.
Can I change a workflow after it's running?
Anytime, conversationally: “go hourly this week,” “add our new product line,” “send to #brand-alerts instead.” Matching criteria are plain-language descriptions rather than frozen queries, so workflows evolve with your positioning.
Can I build a custom workflow?
Templates cover the recurring hunts of PR today, and custom workflows — build-your-own monitors beyond the templates — are on Featured's roadmap. In the meantime, templates flex a long way: what you describe in plain language is what gets matched.
Can AI agents create workflows?
Yes — through the Featured MCP server, agents in Claude, Cursor, VS Code, or your own stack can browse templates, launch workflows, update configurations, and check run history, authenticated as you via OAuth 2.1.
