Everyone at Motivosity has the "Thanks Matters Card", which means their rewards and recognition dollars are available on their own personal Visa card. The funds come from peer-to-peer recognitions, milestone celebrations like birthdays & work anniversaries, and spot bonuses for their excellent work. We love the flexibility the Thanks Matters Card offers in choosing our own rewards, but it makes everyone in the office feel "seen" and noticed, because gratitude matters!
For our employees, the best incentive program is profit sharing. As a start-up, we don’t want to have a high cash-flow burden yet don’t want to give up on the incentive program. Hence, we picked profit sharing. We distribute a considerable section of the profit amongst the employees. It’s a win-win situation for both. Employees get a reason to perform better than before and the organization has a high chance of success as its team is working in full swing. It leads to higher employee involvement. To avoid the goof ups, we have decided the profit percentage as per the job roles and the contribution an employee is making towards the progress of the company.
Our organization collects data frequently to identify different employees performing well in their tasks. Once identified, they are recognized, celebrated, and rewarded for their good work. Apart from their portrait being hung on the wall, they also get extra time off, fun gifts, and bonuses. The best person to perform may get promoted to a better job if there is a vacancy.
Fitness and wellness challenges are great to keep employees motivated and boost their overall well-being. Not only does this show you are encouraging employees to reach their wellness goals but it can be a fun experience and give employees a mood booster and some excitement when coming into the office. This could look like a challenge to see who can track the most steps in a month or even host in-office fitness and wellness events to give employees a break in the day. There are so many ways to get creative so encourage brainstorming from your employees and see what kind of fitness and wellness challenges they would like to participate in. Offering fun and easy ways to get involved will always keep employees excited about coming into the office and collaborating with coworkers!
Pets are a vital & important part of many employees lives, particularly after Covid when even more people got a dog at home for company and/or to save rescue dogs. Pets are an important part of the family & their ill health can dramatically affect the stress & mental health of employees - we really do care for our pets. Employers generally allow time off work for medical appointments/health issues during work hours but most haven't considered the importance of allowing flexibility & time off for pets as well. Most vets see animals during work hours or charge extra fees for consults outside work hours. Letting employees take time off to care for their pets will improve overall employee health, wellbeing & employer satisfaction. Also consider offering time at home when close care is required for a pet to recover after surgery or an illness/accident.
Our office health initiative is a wonderful program that has boosted workplace morale. The initiative appeals to many different types of employees. Some like it for friendly competition, and others like it simply for self improvement and better health. Regardless of the motivation, many at the company have latched onto the idea of more exercise and better nutrition, and it has been a remarkable development for our team dynamic. It doesn’t feel work-related, but it has brought us closer together.
Our best and most utilized employee incentive program is our professional development options. As a company we view this as an investment in the individual, as well as an investment in our company. And we make sure we say that openly. Any healthy and productive relationship is beneficial for both parties. We make investing into the development of our team the top priority here at SERP. We believe that actions speak louder than words, and we show our employees on a consistent basis that they are our most valuable resource. Developing them within their roles not only benefits the company, but them as well. The skills and experiences they have during their professional development will stay with them for the duration of their careers, whether that is with us, or they choose to eventually go elsewhere, they are a stronger team member for the experience. Any program that benefits both parties is obviously a win. Please let me know if you have any questions!
We have a quarterly incentive for each team where the team can earn up to 20% of their quarterly profit share. We also have a monthly incentive for each employee where they can earn up to 5% of their monthly profit share.
The best incentive program I have for employees is an annual bonus. This program recognizes and rewards employees for their hard work and dedication. It also encourages employees to continue to strive for excellence in their job performance. Additionally, the bonus program is a great way to retain talented employees who may be considering leaving the company for another opportunity.
There are a lot of different incentive programs out there, but which one is the best for your business? Incentive programs can be a great way to keep your employees happy and motivated, but it's important to choose the right program for your company. Here are some factors to consider when choosing an incentive program: 1. What type of rewards will your employees enjoy? Some companies offer cash awards, trip discounts, or other types of tangible rewards. Others may offer more intangible benefits like praise or recognition. 2. How often will the rewards be given out? Do you want an incentive program to be a one-time offering or will you give out rewards on a regular basis? For example, if your business is profitable, you might want to offer a reward once per year.
