Workflows

A workflow is a search you don't have to remember to run. Pick what to look for, how often, and where to send it — then read the digest instead of doing the search again.

How a workflow is put together

Each run only shows you things previous runs didn’t, so a weekly digest is a list of what’s new.

  1. 1

    What to match

A description of what you're looking for, in your words — your company, your beat, your topics.

  2. 2

    Template-specific filters

A publication name, a location, whatever that template supports.

  3. 3

    A schedule

Five cadences: daily, hourly (every N hours inside a daily window), weekly on chosen days, monthly on a chosen date, or every N days — each with a time and your timezone. A few types leave hourly out: AI-visibility scans, media mentions and competitor visibility are the most expensive runs, so they start at daily. Some templates run on their source's rhythm instead — HARO monitoring follows HARO's own editions.

  4. 4

    Delivery

Email, Slack, or both at once.

Changing one you already have

Ask in chat and Featured will act on a workflow you already have — by the name you gave it, not an id. It can list what you have, run one now instead of waiting for its schedule, pause or resume one, rename it, and change when it runs.

Pausing and re-timing both ask you to confirm first, because both change what a workflow spends: resuming re-arms a paid schedule, and moving a monthly digest to daily is thirty times the runs. The card names the workflow and the change before anything happens.

What workflows don't do

Workflows never send anything to anyone on your behalf. Every template delivers back to you — a digest, a list, a report. Drafts are written on demand from the run screen and sent by you, from your own connected inbox. Nothing goes out to a journalist, host, or organiser without you sending it.

Two more:

  • A channel with no destination is skipped. Switch on Slack without picking a channel and that delivery is quietly dropped rather than failing the run.
  • Awards and speaking events have no outreach step, so those digests link you to the entry form or CFP.

Try it

  • Set up a weekly digest of new podcast opportunities in climate tech

  • Monitor HARO for requests about cybersecurity and send them to Slack

  • Track my brand's AI visibility every week and email me the report
